  • Exploring the historical center of Baku city, its Old City –“Ichari Shahar”. You will see the highlights of Icheri Shahar including the Palace of the Shirvanshahs (the most striking example of the medieval place structure in Azerbaijan, dating the middle of 15th century). Maiden’s Tower(the ancient eight storey fortress originally built as a fire beacon) visit Jumma Mosque, antiques and carpet shops.
  • You will have an independent lunch in national restaurant and will have a taste of traditional Azeri cuisine. 
  • After the lunch visit to Nizami Street which is a large pedestrian and shopping street in downtown Baku, Azerbaijan, named after classical poet Nizami Ganjavi.  After finishing thistour.  
  • Heydar Aliyev Centre- The Heydar Aliyev Center is a 57,500 m2 (619,000 sq ft) building complex in Baku, Azerbaijan designed by Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid and noted for its distinctive architecture and flowing, curved style that eschews sharp angles. The Center houses a conference hall (auditorium), a gallery hall and a museum. The project is intended to play an integral role in the intellectual life of the city. Located close to the city center, the site plays a pivotal role in the redevelopment of Baku.

Day 4 - Free Day OR Optional Absheron Peninsula tour

  • Explore Azerbaijan’s magnificent Absheron Peninsula from your base in the nation’s capital. Explore the Fire Temple of Baku and see its natural, eternally burning flame.
  • Start your tour with a pickup from your hotel in a comfortable, air-conditioned sedan. Your experienced tour guide will drive you to the Baku Ateshgah. Walk around the castle-like temple, which has served as a place of worship for multiple religions. Learn about its history, dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries.
  • After exploring the temple, see the hillside fire that gives the historical site its name. Drive to Yanar Dag and be shown the flames, which are fed by natural gas emanating from the sandstone and can flare up to 10 feet high.
  • Your tour of the peninsula ends with a visit to the Heydar Aliyev Center with its striking wave-like roof. Admire the design by renowned architect Zaha Hadid, which houses an auditorium, gallery hall and a museum. Inside you can learn about the life of the eponymous former president of Azerbaijan.
