• Dover port was the main point of entry to England since Roman times and the white cliffs have captured the imagination of visitors. Continue on to Canterbury, which is dominated by a glorious Gothic cathedral, it has been the ecclesiastical capital of England since the sixth century. The cathedral was the scene of one of the most notorious murders in English history, when Archbishop Thomas Becket was killed by four knights. Pause for lunch (not included) near the cathedral before heading for Greenwich.
• Lastly, stop and admire the vast Old Royal Naval College along the waterfront before boarding the boat for the river cruise to London’s Embankment Pier, where the tour ends.
