The Northern Lights snowmobile sled adventure runs from Santa Claus Village, Rovaniemi, and offers an exciting chase for the Northern Lights. You will be taken into different areas by sled to look for the Lights.
Your experienced guides will make sure to find the best locations to view the Northern Lights in their full splendor. The Northern Lights sled ride search takes place in Lapland, in the middle of the Aurora belt.

Itinerary
Enjoy a full day of arctic experiences in Rovaniemi with a guided visit to a husky dog farm and sleigh ride as well as the opportunity to drive your own reindeer sleigh and meet Santa Claus. Learn all about these local traditions from your guide and spend time with the animals.
After pickup, start your day at the reindeer farm. Meet the reindeer, feed them, and take pictures. Hear stories about the reindeer herding process and drive a reindeer sleigh for a full 500-meter ride. Take your well-deserved reindeer driver’s license home as a memento.
Feast on salmon soup before meeting the huskies. After a short introduction, take a short husky sled ride into the arctic forest. Lastly, visit Santa Claus Village, where you will have the opportunity to meet Santa himself.
Step across the Arctic Circle and revel in the Christmas spirit. Take time to shop and send letters from Santa’s Post office before returning to your accommodation.

If encountering a bear roaming in the open air doesn’t sound tempting, enjoy a 2.5 km walk in a magical forest where you can meet many animals that can be found in the arctic.
After being picked up at your accommodation, drive to Ranua Wildlife Park, located approximately a one-hour drive away. Ranua Zoo is home to around 50 species of wild arctic animals and 200 animal varieties. All animals live in an indigenous environment which guarantees that the animals feel at home.
Follow your guide that provides detailed and expert information about the animals and their characteristics as well as answer your questions about their living habits and about the arctic nature. Polar bears, arctic foxes, wolverines, and lynx are some of the most popular animals to see among others.
Welcome to the northernmost zoo in Finland and the second most northerly in the world! Ranua Zoo is Lapland’s leading destination for families visiting Lapland. Some sleds are available for smaller children, in case they get tired of walking. Before you start your way back to Rovaniemi, you will have some time to have lunch or small snacks and do some souvenir shopping.
