On arrival in Hallstatt it’s hard to know where to start, baroque-style homes scattered along the waterfront with mountain peaks reflecting in the water make this an experience in nature you won’t forget.
  • Take a mountain train ride up to the entrance of the world’s oldest salt mine for views over Hallstatt and to learn about its 7,000 year history of salt mining. Enjoy a leisurely lakeside walk to see houses clinging on to the mountain-side on your way to Muhlbach Waterfall.     Your tour begins with a 3-hour Grand City Tour of Budapest. Pass by the iconic Parliament building before crossing the Danube River by the Margaret Bridge and making the ascent to the Royal Castle area on the Buda side, where you will enjoy a short walk to the Fisherman’s Bastion and see the stunning exterior of Matthias Church.

    Next, sit back as you journey up Gellért Hill, where you will enjoy a photo stop and time to take in the panoramic views over Budapest. Afterwards, the coach will take you across the Elizabeth Bridge and along Andrássy Avenue to the imposing and breathtaking Heroes’ Square. Pass by the Opera and St. Stephen’s Basilica on the way back to the Intercontinental Hotel, where the bus tour comes to an end in order to start the Danube cruise experience.
