Day 2 - Half Day Baku City Tour

  • City tour begins with a visit to the Highland Park. Highland Park is located on a hill in the western part of the city. This is the best place to see the city and the Baku Bay. Later the tour proceeds along the waterfront promenade and a visit to the Old City which is also a fortress. Tourists will see the main attractions of the Old City, including the Palace of the Shirvan Shahs Palace, Maiden Tower, Karvansaray etc. For additional price it is possible to arrange the lunch in the national restaurant. From 14:00 – to 18:00 We get acquainted with the Baku Boulevard and have a boat trip on the Baku Bay. This favorite vacation spot of Baku citizens and guests of the capital is also one of the attractions of the city, which in 2009 celebrated its 100 anniversary. Our today’s tour ended with a visit of the Center named after Heydar Aliyev. Heydar Aliyev Center – a cultural center, is a complex structure that includes the Auditorium (convention center), a museum, exhibition halls, administrative offices. The project center has been designed by renowned architect Zaha Hadid.

  •  First our stop will be at Maraza city with unique place – Diri Baba Mausoleum. Mausoleum was built at the beginning of 15 century in the mountain. Today we will explore Shamakha – the capital of Shirvanshahs state from the IX century, the town was one of the most important on the Great Silk Road. In Shamakha the tourists will visit the famous historical and architectural monuments of the country, such as “Juma Mosque” and the mausoleum “Yeddi Gumbez”. Also we will visit Shemakha observatory. During the trip guests, will visit ancient at the top of mountain. Visit all popular places at Gabala “Seven Beatuies” wild mountain waterfall, amazing Nohur lake and Tufandag Pipeline. Also Oguz region with theirs wonderful lake and waterfall.

After getting picked up from your hotel, enjoy a stroll through the streets of the Old Town towards Metekhi Church and learn all about the history of Tbilisi’s formation. In Shardeni Street, discover an open-air carpet market, visit Sioni Church and see the unique clock tower of the Rezo Gabriadze Puppet Theater. You will also discover the fascinating story behind the Anchiskhati Church and get to sample local wine. 
  • Next, ride a panoramic cable car up to the imposing “Kartlis Deda” (Mother Of Georgia) monument, from which point you can admire panoramic views of the entire city. Pay a visit to Narikala Fortress before beginning your descent down the mountain. Head to the Sulfur Baths District, stopping to admire impressive views of the Leghvtakhevi Gorge and Vakhtang Gorgasali monument along the way.
