Day 1 - Arrival in Cairo

  • We’ll explore the pyramids area to see Cheops, Chefren, and Menkaure. Next, see the Great  Sphinx, alimestone statue of the mythical creature with a head of man and lion’s body. Explore the Valley Temple, a funerary complex with a mortuary temple and the Pyramids of Chefren. 
  • You’ll Visit the Egyptian Museum. This vast collection contains more than 250,000 artifacts in its exhibits which span over 5,000 years. You can also then explore the room of King Tutankhamun stocked full of vivid jewelry and gold. These dazzling treasures were stored in the King’s tomb for 3,500 years before their discovery during the excavation in 1920.

Luxor temple construction was strarted by Amenhotep III (1386 to 1349 BC), while other pharaohs like Tutankhamun, Hormohep and Alexander the great added to the Temple’s construction.     You will visit the old necropolis of ancient Thebes on the West Bank of Luxor. We will take you to the spectacular Valley of the Kings, where up to now, 63 tombs have been found varying from a one chamber crypt (KV54) to a tomb with 120 chambers (KV5). You will be able to visit 3 tombs with the entrance ticket. The tombs of Tutankhamen and Seti I require separate tickets (not included).
